I Couldn't Be More Pleased May 7, 2026

Awesome Home Services just completed a complete sewer line rehabilitation and water line replacement for my home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their work, communication, and transparency! When sewage began backing up in my shower in February, I called 3 companies to get an idea of the scope of work and estimates of cost. I suspected that the project would be fairly involved since the home is 120 years old and there is no utility line data for my section of town. Preston from Awesome Home Services immediately won me over. He explained that we needed to understand the problem before he was able to give me a quote for the work. He clearly laid out the steps and cost to investigate the issue. In that first meeting, he was the only one of the three contractors I spoke with to notice an old sewer locate marker on my neighbor’s shed, potentially indicating that my line runs under the neighbor’s structures and complicating the project greatly. After locating, it turns out that my line does in fact run under my neighbor’s structures. Throughout the project, Preston and the whole team communicated clearly what they knew and what implications that had on the next steps, both in terms of course of action and cost. They made clear the potential risks and unknowns with each option. Ultimately we decided on a hybrid solution of lining the sections of line that were in good condition and replacing the sections that were not. The replacement involved extensive digging in my neighbor’s yard. Preston and Chris expertly negotiated a plan that was satisfactory to my neighbor and promised to restore his yard. At the end of the project, they left his yard in better condition than when the project started. I was able to be present for most of the project and could see that the whole team took great pride in quality craftsmanship and happily explained each step. They were conscious of keeping the interior of my house clean and cleaning the worksite at the end of each section of the project. While sewer work may not be glamorous, Preston and Awesome Home Services lived up to the razzle dazzle of their name. In addition to Preston, I want to give a shout-out to the whole team of technicians that made this crappy situation the best it could be: Jason Barr, CJ St. Vincent, David Fowler, and Aaron Ellenberger!

Preston Peterson was great to work with. He was able to come out right away and give me an estimate for a sewer line replacement and unclog a sewer line that was backing up into my house. He was extremely great to work with. Honest and helped the whole way through the process. Unfortunately, my sewer line was beyond repair so it will have to be replaced. But Preston was honest with me throughout the process on what would be my best options. I will continue to work with him in the future and trust the company to get the job done right.
